Discover the groundbreaking akira inspired 3d printed electric motorcycle by DAB Motors and Vita Veloce Team—3D‑printed bodywork, AI‑aided design, glowing LED wheels, and limited run announcement.
An Akira-inspired 3D-printed electric motorcycle is to be launched in late May or early June 2025 by French electric bike manufacturer Dab Motors, now under Peugeot. This bike has been created in collaboration with the Vita Veloce team, started by famous Latin pop singer J Balvin and designer Mattias Gollin.
The bike was specially designed for J Balvin's 40th birthday and was first introduced in Tuscany, Italy. The bike's design is directly inspired by the famous 1988 Japanese anime film Akira, in which the character Shotaro Kaneda's iconic red bike influenced pop culture around the world.

This is no ordinary concept bike—it's a fully functional electric motorcycle that combines 3D printing technology, an AI-designed body, and a hand-painted finish. Its creation is not only a masterpiece of technology but also offers an emotional and artistic experience.
This project shows how the world of anime and technology can be transformed into a reality. What's more, a limited production run of this bike is also being planned so that some lucky people can realize this filmy dream on the roads.
Design & Build: The design of the Akira-inspired 3D-printed electric motorcycle looks like something out of a science fiction film. DAB Motors and the Vita Veloce Team have worked together to create not only a beautiful-looking machine but also a completely rideable one. Every part of this bike exudes futuristic looks, but the technology and craftsmanship behind it are equally grounded and precise.
Ai + Human Touch: This design was created with the help of AI, but it was completed by humans with their own hands. It is the perfect balance of high-tech and handmade. AI gave birth to the futuristic shapes, and the artisans polished every curve and detail with their own hands.
Sound And Lights: The foam inserts fitted in the wheels of the bike produce a special kind of sound, which gives the rider a unique feeling of vibration and connection with the bike. Apart from this, invisible LED lights emit a blue-purple light from underneath the bike, which makes the bike appear to be flying in the air while riding at night.
The wheels are completely covered, and its side profile looks exactly like a cyberpunk machine. Its design is a great example of form over function, where both beauty and performance are balanced.
Performance & Practicality: The Akira-inspired 3D-printed electric motorcycle doesn't just look great; its performance and utility also make it a special machine. This is not just a showpiece bike—it is a fully rideable, tested, and ready electric motorcycle to take on the city streets.
The bike incorporates the essential electric technology of DAB motors. It is equipped with a high-torque electric motor that offers sharp acceleration and a smooth riding experience. While its specific details (like range, top speed, and battery size) have not been fully made public yet, it could be the same system that is used in DAB's Concept E platform that offers around 11kw motor power and a 110 km/h top speed.
This bike is designed for urban riding. It is expected that its range can be around 100–120 km, which is sufficient for daily commutes or weekend rides. There is also a possibility of fast charging support with this so that the bike can be fully charged in just a few hours.
Limited production plans: The Akira-inspired 3D-printed electric motorcycle was initially prepared as a one-of-a-kind custom project as a futuristic gift for Balvin's 4th birthday. But after its unveiling, it received such an overwhelming response from the biking community and design world that now there are plans to make it available to the general public as a limited edition.
Vita Veloce and DAB Motors have indicated that they are considering making a limited number of production units of this bike. It is likely that this will be between 10 and 50 units—each bike will be customized and targeted at high-end collectors and art lovers.
Customers will also be able to personalize their bikes—with color shades, graphics, lighting themes, and tire sound technology.
Booking and Delivery: Bookings for the bike can be made through the official Vita Veloce website or through private, invite-only sales events.
Deliveries are expected to begin by the end of 2025. Each unit may take 2–3 months to manufacture.
