The BMW F450 GS adventure bike will be officially unvelied by the German automaker's announcement on its social media channels. It will be manufactured locally in india by TVS when it enters production.
BMW F 450 GS Design: F450 GS was previously showcased at the EICMA 2024, although the bike was a concept. The most interesting part about this concept is the design; it looks like a proper small version of the R1300 GS with an X-shaped headlamp and very sporty and sharp body panels all across, but since this is a concept model, we can take this with a pinch of salt because all the concept models usually have exaggerated designs on the production model, and the design is always toned down a little, and it could be the same case with the production model of the F450 GS.
Engine: Now the engine and the specs aren't entirely revealed, but what we know as of now is that the new BMW off-road would be powered by a 450cc parallel twin motor with 48 bhp and 45 Nm of torque. BMW has put a lot of emphasis on how this is a very compact engine and how light components have been used inside the engine with a usage of materials like magnesium. In fact, the overall curb weight of the motorcycle is also quite light at 175 kg, which is the weight of the concept model; it might vary, or it might be slightly heavier than the concept model. BMW says that this chassis has been designed to make the motorcycle equally agile off-road and on the road, and if you see in the pictures and videos of the motorcycle, it gets long-travel suspension and it gets proper knobby tires, but we have known BMW motorcycles; they are excellent handlers even around corners,, and that should be the same case even with the F450 GS.
Features: Feature front of this will be a typical BMW big motorcycle because it will get a 6.5-inch TFT screen; at least the concept model gets that, and we hope that will be the same case on the production models, and this size of TFT screen is massive for this class of motorcycle, and on top of that, it will also get configurable ride modes and lean-sensitive ABS. Show all of these features look very similar to KTM's 390 adventure models. The motorcycle features a fully adjustable USD fork and a monoshock that offers load-dependent damping it weighs 175 kg and will come with either a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel alloy combination or tubeless wire-spoke wheels. Thee braking system consists of disc brakes at both the front and rear at the core, it has a new 450cc twin-cylinder engine that produces 48hp, and itdeliversr strongmid-rangee performance. We hope, or we believe, that when this motorcycle comes, it will go head-on against the KTM 390 Adventure and the Aprilia.
The BMW F450 GS production model comes to India; we believe it will be priced somewhere between 4 to 5 lakh ex-showroom.
